Your main responsibilities will be assessing/interviewing clients under The Housing Act 1996 Part VII (as amended) and the issuing of Section 184 Decision letters. You will be assessing homeless applications and make inquries under The Housing Act 1996 Part VII by applying the '5' tests set out under the homeless legislation to establish what duty is owed by the Local Authority. This is key to the role combined with experience of assessing and arranging interim accommodation pending a decision.
